Allegient Defense is a leader in advanced technology research and solutions development, and we are growing quickly. We are looking to hire an Entry Level Business Development Analyst at our corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

The Entry Level Business Development (BD) Analyst is an entry-level position (0-2 years' experience). This person will report directly to Vice President of Business Development and works together in various duties of managing business development captures from inception to completion. The ideal candidate should have a strong appreciation and respect for the spirit of “working as one”

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience with sales including ability and willingness to speak with existing or prospective clients via phone, email, or in person
• Experience with development and/or design of marketing materials
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite products including Outlook
• Working knowledge of government contracting and/or staffing industry including technical tools and common terminology is a plus
• Willingness and ability to work both in an individual capacity and with existing Business Development team members
• Superior people skills and ability to accurately represent tenants of firm's branding through written content
• Ability to demonstrate superior organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple clients, projects, or activities at once
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment
• Support BD team, with focus on building and maintaining team culture, meeting team goals and overcoming challenges with the team
• Support the development and production of proposal documents that are distinctive, highly competitive, and fully compliant with proposal requirements
• Assess marketing and sales efforts, vendor capabilities and needs, and recommending improvements as needed
• Develop & manage resource libraries of project sheets, resumes, subcontractors, proposals and narratives to increase visibility of qualifications across the company and enable more efficient proposal responses
• Developing relationships with new and existing customers

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred BA/BS (Political Science/Communication/Business/Marketing preferred), not required
• Prior Military experience in communications is a plus
• A desire to advance professionally and take on new responsibilities.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working individually as well as part of a team
• Experience in customer service or customer relationships
• The ability to function well in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• Familiarity with CRM platform a plus
